Prayer Time: Thankfulness

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we begin a season that is set aside for giving thanks, I just want to thank you Lord for all that you do for me every single moment of the day. My thankfulness to you is beyond description although sometimes I forget to say thank you. Please Lord help me to remember to enter Your Presence with thankfulness and praise for your Holy Name.

It is so easy to come and ask for things from You, Lord but I need to remember that I should be thankful for the things You have already done. Why is it God, that it seems I am never satisfied even though you have given and continue to give so much?

Lord, You could give me nothing more and I have already received way more than I deserve. Click to Tweet

Let my praise for You, Lord, be first off of my lips before my requests. You are mighty and all that I have is because of Your love for me. You could give me nothing more and I have already received way more than I deserve. I desire to have more thankfulness and less neediness in my life. Read Psalm 100:4 Help me to remember that every time I come to You, I need to put my thankfulness before my desires. In my weakness, I come to You way too often only seeking something. I plead for Your forgiveness, Lord.

Let my praise for You, Lord, be first off of my lips before my requests. You are mighty and all that I have is because of Your love for me. You could give me nothing more and I have already received way more than I deserve. I desire to have more thankfulness and less neediness in my life.

Thank you Lord, for giving your Son to die for my sin. Forgive me for the sins that made that necessary. Thank you for everyday that give me the opportunity to serve You.

In these things I humbly pray,

Amen
